The project partners and members of the user board from all over Europe gathered in Wageningen, Netherlands, on Nov 12-13 to get the AQUA-USERS project started. During presentations and lively discussions, the project was shaped in detail. The members of the user board gave very interesting insights into the different aquacultural production systems and the challenges they face.
The participants braved the Dutch November weather to learn how to use the WISP-3 instruments, which will be used in the project for optical in-situ measurements of water quality, and for validation of satellite data. All participants received a WISP-3 training certificate.
During an excursion to AlgaePARC, the participants could broaden their horizon by learning a lot about growing algae.
